This is where you can learn about what goes in and out of a leaf during photosynthesis

First, Carbon dioxide combines with water and light to make glucose (a type of sugar) and oxygen in a cell called the chloroplast. The picture below is a diagram of a ordinary chloroplast.


Then, the plant uses the sugar as energy and we breath in the oxygen.  Then we breath out the carbon dioxide and the whole process starts again known as the carbon cycle (shown below).
